Fronte Lido is the name of the bathing-water monitoring point that identifies this stretch of free public beach in Argegno, on the western shore of Lake Como, right across from the historic Lido di Argegno. Argegno is the town set furthest back from the shoreline among all the villages on the lake’s western branch, and it holds onto this small corner of public beach along its waterfront.

Facing this free stretch of shore is the famous Lido di Argegno, one of the most photographed spots on the lake: the establishment offers a swimming pool that seems to float on the water, a lounge bar and a pizzeria for those who want to extend their stay with an aperitif or a lakeside lunch. The public beach, on the other hand, remains open to anyone who simply wants to lay out a towel and swim for free.
