The Museo Giancarlo Vitali opened on 30 April 2025 in Palazzo Lorla, a historic stately building in the centre of Bellano, on Via Manzoni. It is dedicated to painter and printmaker Giancarlo Vitali (1929-2018), who was born and lived in Bellano.
The museum
The ground-floor rooms of Palazzo Lorla house a permanent exhibition of one hundred works by the painter, a selection drawn from seventy years of his output. The project was created by ArchiViVitali ETS, the foundation that curates the artist’s archive, and handed over on opening day to the Municipality of Bellano, which now manages the museum through the Pro Loco Bellano, as part of the BAC Bellano Arte Cultura project.

The Museo Giancarlo Vitali is part, together with the Orrido di Bellano and San Nicolao - Contemporary Art, of the “BAC Bellano Arte Cultura” route: a combined ticket covering all three attractions is available.
