Rifugio Murelli stands at 1,200 metres at the Colma dei Murelli, in the municipality of Carate Urio, in a panoramic position over Lake Como. It is one of the stops along Stage 1 of the Via dei Monti Lariani.
History
The building started life as a former military barracks, recovered and restored by CAI in 1977. A serious fire in October 1999 destroyed its roof; the hut was rebuilt and reopened in 2008.

The hut has 24 beds.
Getting there
Reached from Cernobbio via Ca’ Bossi in about an hour and five minutes, or from Argegno-Posa in about an hour and thirty-five minutes.
