Rifugio Prabello stands at 1,210 metres in the Sasso Gordona locality, in the municipality of Cerano d’Intelvi, on the ridge separating Val d’Intelvi from Valle di Muggio, on the border between Italy and Switzerland. It is one of the stops along Stage 1 of the Via dei Monti Lariani.
History
The hut is owned by CAI Monteolimpino (a subsection of CAI Como), which carried out its recovery and restoration in the 1980s. Since 2017 it has been run by Gianni and Cinzia, who have refurbished and improved the building.
What to see and facilities
The hut has 24 beds and 50 indoor seats, plus 30 outdoors.
