Spiaggia di San Vito lies in the hamlet of San Vito, in the municipality of Cremia, on the western shore of the Upper Lake Como: a long stretch of pebbles running for a few hundred metres between the small harbour and jetty to the south and a stream mouth to the north, with open views over the mountains and clear water.
Valued above all for its quiet atmosphere, the area is also a reference point for sailing, thanks to the steady winds that blow along this stretch of the Upper Lario.

The La Baia restaurant and the Camping Aurora, right next to the beach, offer refreshments and basic services for those spending the day here.
Getting there
It can be reached by car from the SS340dir, the Statale Regina, following signs for the San Vito hamlet. Coming from the north, the turn-off is right after the long tunnel past Dongo.
Practical information
- Parking along the access lane is limited: in the summer months it’s best to arrive early or consider the parking of nearby accommodation facilities.
- The lake bed drops off fairly sharply just a few metres from shore: water shoes are recommended for anyone wanting to explore it more freely.
- The water is monitored by the Portale Acque di Balneazione (Italy’s official bathing water portal) and is generally classified as good.
