Lake Como Boat Tickets and Fares: 2026 Guide

2026 boat fares on Lake Como: fare bands, single, day ticket, fast service, ferries and concessions, with the sums worked out for eight typical trips.

By the Lario editorial team · Updated October 6, 2026

The Lake Como boat ticket is priced by the distance between two stops, grouped into eight fare bands, not by zone or by line. A single from Como to Bellagio costs 12.00 euro, a return 24.00, and the day ticket for the same stretch 27.00: by our sums the day ticket does not pay for someone who goes to Bellagio and back, and starts to pay from the third trip.

The prices are those of the Navigazione Laghi fare list in force from 1 April 2026, read in PDF on 6 October 2026. This guide explains how to read the list, what the most searched pairs of stops cost, when the day ticket saves money, what ferries and bicycles cost, which concessions exist and how contactless payment with NaviTap works. Where a figure is not published, or the sources disagree, we say so.

For timetables, journey times and the difference between the ordinary boat, the fast service and the ferry, see the guide to getting to Lake Como. This page is only about tickets.

The Lake Como boat ticket: how to read the fare list

The list has no zones and no prices per line. It splits the lake into eight «tratte di viaggio» (fare bands) and gives every pair of stops a band number: the farther apart the stops, the higher the number. The price is then read from an eight-row table. The matrix with the numbers is on the first page of the PDF, and the example the list itself gives is Como-Sala Comacina, band 5.

Prices apply to direct connections between two stops, are rounded to the nearest 10 cents and a return costs twice a single. The list sets a minimum fare that cannot be reduced, 1.80 euro for a single and 3.60 for a return: no concession takes a trip below it. There is also an «urban special fare» of 1.50 euro, which the matrix shows on four pairs of very close stops: Como-Tavernola, Tavernola-Cernobbio, Tremezzo-Villa Carlotta and San Giovanni-Bellagio.

The most searched pairs of stops

The table gives the band and the full adult price. The last column is the fast service, which is the boat fare plus the surcharge for the band (the surcharge is explained below).

Pair of stops Band Single, full fare With fast service
Como-Cernobbio 1 3.00 4.50
Como-Torno 2 4.50 6.50
Como-Argegno 4 8.00 11.50

Como-Bellagio or Como-Menaggio 6 12.00 17.00
Como-Varenna or Como-Bellano 7 13.50 19.00

Bellagio, Menaggio and Varenna are three bands apart from each other, and the same goes for each of them with Tremezzo, Villa Carlotta and Cadenabbia. The list calls the diagram «indicative», and the table above is our reading of it: anyone who wants to check a pair that is not here will find the whole matrix on page 1 of the PDF.

The prices of the eight bands

This table applies to any pair of stops, once you have found its band.

Band Full (1.00) Reduced (1.20) Children (1.50) Fast surcharge
1 3.00 2.40 1.80 1.50
2 4.50 3.60 2.30 2.00
3 5.50 4.40 2.80 3.00
4 8.00 6.40 4.00 3.50
5 9.50 7.60 4.80 4.50
6 12.00 9.60 6.00 5.00
7 13.50 10.80 6.80 5.50
8 14.50 11.60 7.30 5.50

Source: Navigazione Laghi, passenger fare list in force from 1 April 2026 (PDF), page 1; read on 6 October 2026. Amounts in euro, single trip.

The «reduced» column is fare 1.20: it applies to people aged 65 and over, Monday to Friday, and to ordinary groups. The «children» column is fare 1.50, for children from 4 to 11 and for school groups. Who is entitled and with which documents is further down.

The fast service: boat fare plus surcharge

On the fast service you pay the boat fare plus the surcharge for the band. The surcharge is not reduced for anyone, children included, and it cannot be added to a boat season ticket. A fast-service ticket and its surcharge are valid only on the day of issue and allow no intermediate stops.

For example, an adult from Como to Bellagio on the fast service pays 12.00 plus 5.00, that is 17.00 euro; a child pays 6.00 plus 5.00, that is 11.00 euro. The day ticket is valid on the fast service too, but with the surcharge on every trip.

A notice of 2 October 2026 adds an exception: until 31 October, holders of a boat season ticket valid for Menaggio-Varenna or Menaggio-Bellagio can take the fast run SR 113 on those routes at no extra cost. It is an extraordinary measure with an end date.

Day tickets, six-day tickets and circular tickets

The «libera circolazione» (free circulation) ticket is the Lake Como day ticket. It allows unlimited trips between the stops it was issued for, with intermediate stops, is personal and non-transferable and lasts one or six days. It is valid on the fast service if you pay the surcharge and not on night cruises, unless otherwise stated. You buy it for a pair of stops: the band of the pair sets the price.

The table has the three day fares that the list publishes with a clear recipient. The reduced 3.20 is the one for over-65s on weekdays and for the agreements described below.

Band Full (3.00) Reduced (3.20) Children (3.50)
1 8.00 6.40 4.00
2 11.50 9.20 5.80
3 17.50 14.00 8.80
4 18.50 14.80 9.30
5 22.50 18.00 11.30
6 27.00 21.60 13.50
7 29.50 23.60 14.80
8 32.00 25.60 16.00

Source: Navigazione Laghi, passenger fare list in force from 1 April 2026 (PDF), «free circulation tickets, validity 1 day»; read on 6 October 2026. Amounts in euro.

For six days the list has only two columns, adults (4.10) and children aged 4 to 11 (4.50).

Band Adults, 6 days Children, 6 days
1 24.00 12.00
2 34.50 17.30
3 52.50 26.30
4 55.50 27.80
5 67.50 33.80
6 81.00 40.50
7 88.50 44.30
8 96.00 48.00

Source: Navigazione Laghi, passenger fare list in force from 1 April 2026 (PDF), «free circulation tickets, validity 6 days»; read on 6 October 2026. Amounts in euro.

The list also has a «promotional initiatives» column for the day ticket, fare 3.10, with prices 10% below the full fare (26.60 euro in band 7, instead of 29.50). It does not say who gets it, and among the concessions published on the operator’s website we found none that uses it: we do not count it.

Circular tickets

A circular ticket allows intermediate stops between the stops it was issued for and ends on landing at the stop of issue, or at the departure stop written on the ticket if it was issued on board. The operator’s website publishes three, with prices in force from 1 April 2026: Como-Urio at 10.40 euro for adults and 5.80 for children, Como-Nesso at 16.70 and 9.30, Lecco-Onno at 11.00 and 5.60.

Which one pays: eight trips with the sums

The list does not say which ticket is better value, so the sums are ours, made with the tables in this guide. We compare single trips at the full fare (returns included) with an adult’s day ticket. The day ticket is calculated the way NaviTap calculates it according to its FAQ, that is on the pair of stops farthest apart reached during the day. The list does not explain how the pair is chosen when there are several stops: for a paper ticket it is best to tell the ticket office the trip you plan. In the list’s order of stops Menaggio sits between Bellagio and Varenna, and so in trips C to G all the stops fall inside the pair of stops given in the column.

Trip Single trips Day ticket Cheaper
A. Como-Bellagio and back 24.00 27.00 (band 6) Single trips, by 3.00
B. Lecco-Bellagio and back 19.00 22.50 (band 5) Single trips, by 3.50
C. Como-Bellagio-Menaggio-Como 29.50 27.00 (band 6) Day ticket, by 2.50
D. Como-Bellagio-Varenna-Como 31.00 29.50 (band 7) Day ticket, by 1.50
E. Como-Bellagio-Varenna-Menaggio-Como 35.00 29.50 (band 7) Day ticket, by 5.50
F. Varenna-Bellagio-Menaggio-Varenna 16.50 17.50 (band 3) Single trips, by 1.00
G. Central lake, four trips 22.00 17.50 (band 3) Day ticket, by 4.50
H. Colico-Gravedona and back 9.00 11.50 (band 2) Single trips, by 2.50

Source: our calculations on the Navigazione Laghi passenger fare list in force from 1 April 2026 (PDF), fares 1.00 and 3.00. Amounts in euro, ordinary boat only, without the on-board collection fee.

The sums for the single trips, with the full price of each pair of stops:

  • A: 12.00 + 12.00.
  • B: 9.50 + 9.50.
  • C: 12.00 + 5.50 + 12.00.
  • D: 12.00 + 5.50 + 13.50.
  • E: 12.00 + 5.50 + 5.50 + 12.00.
  • F: 5.50 + 5.50 + 5.50.
  • G: 4 × 5.50.
  • H: 4.50 + 4.50.

The day ticket starts to pay on the third trip when you leave Como for Bellagio or Menaggio: 24.00 euro for the return plus even one short 5.50 trip goes past the 27.00 of the day ticket. In the central lake, where every trip between Bellagio, Menaggio and Varenna costs 5.50, you need a fourth trip. With three short trips, single tickets cost one euro less.

The conclusions do not change for anyone with a concession. Fare 1.20 is 80% of the full fare and 3.20 is 80% of the full day ticket; 1.50 and 3.50 are 50%. We checked this on all eight bands, with differences of at most five cents due to rounding: the cheaper option stays the same.

The fast-service surcharge does not move the comparison. On every fast trip you pay the surcharge both with single tickets and with the day ticket, so the difference stays the one in the table.

For a family the Happy Family scheme changes the sum. Two adults and two children aged 4 to 11 from Como to Bellagio and back pay 54.00 euro with Happy Family (two full day tickets at 27.00, two children free). With single tickets the same trip costs 72.00 euro: 4 × 12.00 for the adults and 4 × 6.00 for the children. The conditions of the scheme are below.

Ferries between Bellagio, Cadenabbia, Menaggio and Varenna

The ferry price list is about vehicles and applies to ordinary runs between Cadenabbia, Bellagio, Menaggio and Varenna. For each category it gives two prices: «vehicle only», which applies when the driver already holds another valid individual ticket, and «with driver», which includes the driver’s share of 5.50 euro. The other passengers in the vehicle pay the full fare, or the reduced one if entitled, of band 3.

Vehicle Vehicle only With driver 10-trip book
Car up to 3.50 m 4.60 10.10 91.40
Car over 3.50 m and up to 4.50 m 7.20 12.70 114.80
Car over 4.50 m 11.30 16.80 151.70
Bicycles and tandems 1.20 6.70 60.80
Mopeds and motorcycles up to 250 cc 2.10 7.60 68.90
Motorcycles over 250 cc and sidecar combinations 4.60 10.10 91.40
Camper vans 13.00 18.50 167.00

Source: Navigazione Laghi, ferry and vehicle fare list, ed. 04/26, in force from 1 April 2026 (PDF); read on 6 October 2026. Amounts in euro, single trip, VAT included; the price of the book includes the driver.

Two examples from the table. A four-metre car with the driver and one passenger pays 12.70 plus 5.50, that is 18.20 euro for a crossing. A cyclist with no other ticket pays 6.70 euro; if they already hold a day ticket or another valid individual ticket they pay only 1.20 euro for the bicycle.

The 10-trip book is valid for one vehicle only, identified by type and number plate, expires on the 180th day after issue and is neither refunded nor replaced. Each box must be stamped at the shore ticket office: on board the 1.00 euro fee applies, except when the ticket office is closed. The list also publishes monthly passes for vehicles, for example 147.50 euro for a car up to 3.50 metres.

For pedestrians the ferry list does not write a fare. In the passenger matrix the pairs among Bellagio, Cadenabbia, Menaggio and Varenna are all band 3 (5.50 euro full fare), which is the band the list applies to car passengers. We did not, however, find it written that the same figure applies to someone who boards on foot: pedestrians should ask at the ticket office. The ferry timetables are in the operator’s PDFs «Traghetto Bellagio - Cadenabbia - Varenna - Menaggio».

A notice of 6 August 2026 is titled «Limitazione di carico sui traghetti» (load limit on ferries) and begins: «Considerato il basso livello idrometrico del lago, si dispone a datare dal 06.08.2026 la…» (given the low water level of the lake, from 6 August 2026 … is ordered). The rest of the text was not readable on the pages we opened, so we cannot say which vehicles it concerns or whether it is still in force: for cars, campers and heavy vehicles it is best to check the notices page before leaving.

Concessions, free travel and agreements

The general rules are in the extract of the conditions included in the 2026 PDF, which is updated to January 2018: it is still the text in force in the list, but the date should be kept in mind. The agreements, by contrast, are on the operator’s fares page, with 2026 expiry dates.

Children

Children who have not yet turned four travel free if they do not take a seat and are accompanied by an adult with a ticket, one adult for every three children. From four up to twelve not yet completed, that is from 4 to 11, there are reduced tickets: 1.50 for the trip and 3.50 for the day ticket, with the right to a seat. Children also pay the full surcharge on the fast service.

The «children» age is not the same for every product. The ordinary list and Happy Family say 4-11, Trenord’s family train-and-boat offer says 4 to 13 and the Trenitalia-Navigazione pass described below says 4 to 14 completed. Before buying a combined ticket it is worth reading the age it states.

Over 65s, groups and schools

From the age of 65 fare 1.20 applies to the trip and 3.20 to the day ticket, Monday to Friday, Saturdays and public holidays excluded, on showing an identity document. Ordinary groups of at least 15 people have 1.20 for adults and 1.50 for children, with one adult free for every 25 paying. School groups of at least 10 students with a teacher have 1.50 and 3.50 for everyone, with one teacher free for every 10 students; a school letter stamped and signed by the head teacher is required.

People with disabilities and companions

The concessions are for civil and work invalids from 70 to 100% and for people with a certified serious disability, with documentation. They pay fare 1.50 for a single and 3.50 for free circulation if they are over 12; children under 12 who are accompanied travel free. A companion, where required, travels free and the collection fee is not charged if the ticket is bought on board. On the fast service the full surcharge is still due, with the sole exception of the companion of a disabled child under 12. A blind person may take a guide dog free, even when a companion is present.

Families: Happy Family

Until 31 December 2026, two or more adults who buy two full day tickets at 3.00 are entitled to up to two free places for children aged 4 to 12 not yet completed. The group of paying and free travellers must travel together. The scheme is not valid on special runs, on night cruises, for the carriage of vehicles and luggage, and cannot be combined with other promotions. On the fast service every traveller, free children included, pays the full surcharge.

Residents and members

«Conosci il tuo Lago» (know your lake) is meant for people who live in one of the municipalities that have joined the scheme, 42 in all. The list includes, among others, Como, Lecco, Bellagio, Menaggio, Varenna, Bellano, Colico, Cernobbio and Tremezzina. To get it you must show an identity document proving residence; fare 1.20 applies to the trip and 3.20 to the day ticket. The promotion runs from 1 January 2024 to 31 December 2026, cannot be combined with other reductions and does not cover luggage, goods or vehicles.

Members of the Touring Club Italiano and the Automobile Club d’Italia get the same fares, 1.20 and 3.20, until 31 December 2026. It is enough to show the membership card valid for the current year (the ACI one with the Show your Card! logo), and the reduction extends to one companion. Here too the fast-service surcharge is at the full rate and promotions cannot be combined.

Buying the ticket: ticket office, on board and NaviTap

The list provides that the ticket is bought at authorised points of sale. If you buy on board when leaving from a stop with an open ticket office, a fixed collection fee of 1.00 euro applies for every traveller, item of luggage or vehicle, and the same surcharge applies if you fail to validate the ticket at the shore ticket office when required. People with a recognised disability are exempt.

Since 28 May 2025 you can board the Lake Como boats without a ticket and pay contactless, according to the online paper QuiComo, which reported it that day. The system is called NaviTap. You tell the crew, hold your card (Visa, Visa Electron, VPay, Mastercard, Maestro) or your phone with Apple Pay, Google Pay or Samsung Pay to the validator, and repeat the gesture when you disembark.

The system works out the price itself: for each trip it applies the adult full fare of the band travelled and, if the day’s total goes past the day ticket, it applies the day ticket based on the farthest stops reached. The amount is charged the next day, and an immediate notification from your bank is only a pre-authorisation. One card can pay for up to five people, as long as the later taps are made within 60 seconds of the first and the same number is repeated on disembarking.

The point not to forget is disembarking. If you do not register the exit, the system cannot recognise the journey and charges the day fare for the whole network: fare 3.00, band 8, which from 1 April 2026 is 32.00 euro. At the end of May 2025 La Provincia di Como gave 28 euro for the same mistake. If the two figures refer to the same item, as the FAQ suggest, the whole-network day ticket has risen by four euro in ten months. We do not have the 2025 fare list to confirm this, nor to know whether other prices have changed.

NaviTap cannot be used for reduced fares, for the fast service, for luggage such as suitcases or bicycles, for animals and for vehicles. It is not available on the Concordia steamship, and it does not allow you to ask for an electronic invoice. You do not need to register, but those who do on the portal can see their trips and charges.

The operator’s website also has online purchase and booking of the fast service. We did not read their conditions, and so we do not say how refunds or changes work for tickets bought online.

Luggage, bicycles, dogs and wheelchairs

Every traveller may carry one item of luggage free, with its longest side no more than 60 centimetres and a volume no more than 40 cubic decimetres. Larger items and any after the first are charged, but the text refers to the fares in force without giving an amount, and we did not find one.

Bicycles cannot board fast-service runs. On the ordinary boat boarding depends on the type of vessel and on traffic, and in the timetable every run says whether bicycles are recommended, limited or excluded. The cost of a bicycle on the ordinary boat is not in the fare list we read.

Dogs are admitted under the responsibility of whoever brings them. A lead of no more than 1.50 metres is required and a muzzle to carry, rigid or soft; the captain may ask for it to be put on, and may limit or refuse boarding when it is crowded or for safety reasons. Dogs under 50 centimetres at the withers travel free; larger ones pay fare 1.50 on a single or 3.50 on the day ticket, with no surcharge on the fast service (for example 6.00 euro for Como-Bellagio, by our reading). The list does not say how dogs of exactly 50 centimetres are treated. Guide dogs for blind and deaf people do not pay.

Anyone travelling in a wheelchair should know that boarding is done with the help of staff, on a gangway at least 80 centimetres wide whose slope depends on the lake level, and that not every stop is accessible: the operator’s page gives Villa Carlotta, Blevio, Pognana and Santa Caterina del Sasso as examples. The captain may limit boarding for safety reasons, for example when the lake is rough.

For pushchairs the 2026 list says nothing. The Mobility Charter, which the operator’s site keeps online with a file uploaded in September 2026 but which carries «Edizione 2011», says that folding pushchairs, children’s prams and wheelchairs travel free. On the same charter dogs are paid «for each animal», while the 2026 list leaves them free under 50 centimetres: the document is therefore out of date on at least one point, and for pushchairs it is best to ask the operator.

Season tickets for repeated journeys

The Lake Como season-ticket page lists the monthly pass for the Como zone and for the Central Lake zone, the PLUS annual and school passes and, for the fast service, the weekly and the monthly. A boat season ticket does not allow boarding the fast service, apart from the October exception described above. The fast-service weekly is valid Monday to Saturday and allows no intermediate stops; the monthly does. The PLUS annual lasts 12 months and costs as much as 9.5 monthly passes for the same route; the PLUS school pass lasts 10 months, from 1 September to 30 June, and costs as much as 7.2.

We do not give the amounts. The page says «prezzi in vigore dal 01/04/2026» (prices in force from 1 April 2026), but the tables are images, and the files turn out to have been uploaded in 2021 (Como zone) and 2023 (Central Lake and fast service): we cannot know whether they reflect today’s list. The monthly vehicle passes, by contrast, are text on the page and in the ferry PDF, and their price is the one quoted above.

To take out a pass it is enough to go to a shore ticket office with an identity document (the vehicle registration document for vehicles); PLUS passes require a form, a passport photo and, for the school one, proof of student status. The page warns that at some times of year the regular service is suspended on certain routes, and asks customers to check that regular service is planned for the period of the pass.

Train, bus and villas: the combined tickets

The «io viaggio ovunque in Lombardia» ticket is not valid on the boat

The IVOL tickets for 1, 2, 3 and 7 days cost 18.00, 30.00, 35.50 and 47.50 euro according to Regione Lombardia, page updated on 7 September 2026. The FAQ on the same page lists among the excluded services «i servizi di navigazione sui laghi di Como, Garda e Maggiore» (the navigation services on lakes Como, Garda and Maggiore): the only boats included are those on Lake Iseo. The ATM page on regional concessions, by contrast, describes the same tickets as valid across the Region «senza limitazioni» (without limitations): the two wordings do not agree, and we go by the Region’s, which is the primary source: the tickets are the Region’s and the ATM page points to the regional site.

The Region’s list does include three facilities near the lake: the Como-Brunate funicular, the Argegno-Pigra cable car and the Malnago-Piani d’Erna cable car in Lecco (the Piani d’Erna page says when it is closed). The page recommends checking validity on the individual service.

Trenord packages, Como Open Pass and Trenitalia

Trenord’s «Gite in treno» site offers five packages that combine the train from any Lombardy station with the boat: Como-Torno (with Cernobbio, Blevio and Moltrasio), Lecco-Onno, Bellagio, Varenna-Lenno with free circulation between those stops, and the Viandante by lake along the Lecco shore. The Varenna one has a family variant with two adults and two children aged 4 to 13. The page gives no prices and no update date, and so we give no figures.

The Como Open Pass, announced by Trenord and ASF Autolinee, costs 15 euro on the ASF page of 29 July 2025 and combines the return train from a Lombardy station to Como with unlimited travel on ASF lines, excluding on-demand services. It is not a boat ticket. We did not find a 2026 page confirming its price and availability, so the 15 euro is a 2025 figure.

On the operator’s fares page there was a Navigazione Laghi pass with Trenitalia: bought with a Trenitalia ticket to Como San Giovanni, it gave the Como-Varenna day ticket at 23.60 euro for adults and 14.80 for children aged 4 to 14. The offer gave 30 September 2026 as its limit, so on 6 October it has expired, and we do not know whether it will be renewed. The two prices match the list: they are fare 3.20 and 3.50 of band 7.

Bus ticket and villas

Villa Carlotta charges a discounted entry price to ASF season-ticket holders with a monthly or annual pass in force, according to the ASF page: the amount of the discount is not given, and the agreement does not cover single tickets. Opening hours and prices for the villa are on its page and in the guide to the villas to visit in 2026.

Refunds and lost tickets

The text of the conditions (updated to January 2018) provides a full refund of an unused ticket if departure is delayed by at least 60 minutes or the run is cancelled, if the traveller cannot leave by order of the authorities, or if there is no seat or boarding is not possible. Someone who gives up the trip can ask the ticket office that issued the ticket for a refund within 30 minutes of issue, with a deduction of up to 3.00 euro per person. If the service is interrupted by chance or force majeure, the difference between the price paid and that of the journey made is refunded.

Lost, destroyed or stolen tickets are neither refunded nor replaced. Books and monthly passes for vehicles are neither refundable nor replaceable. We did not read the rules for tickets bought online.

What has changed recently

The dated news about tickets, all from the operator, is short. On 6 October 2026 a notice suspends public navigation between Como, Blevio and Cernobbio on 9, 10 and 11 October for the «77th Centomiglia del Lario» motorboat race: from 12 to 17 some runs skip the stops of Como, Tavernola, Cernobbio and Blevio, and a shuttle bus replaces them. The notice asks travellers without a ticket to buy one at the ticket office before boarding the bus, and says that on Saturday 10 October there is no shuttle from 15 to 17.

On 2 October 2026 another notice suspends service at the Faggeto Lario stop from 5 October, for reasons beyond Navigazione’s control. The same day brings the SR 113 fast-service exception for season-ticket holders. On 6 August 2026 came the notice on the ferry load limit for the low lake, already mentioned.

On price rises or strikes the search found no dated news between October 2025 and October 2026 in the local press (QuiComo, La Provincia di Como, Il Giorno, LeccoToday). That does not mean there were none: it means we did not find them. The only clue on prices is the comparison between the 28 euro of the network day ticket in May 2025 and the 32.00 of the 2026 list, described above.

What we did not find

  • The amounts of the passenger season tickets: the tables are images of unknown date.

How we checked

The prices come from the operator’s two PDFs, the passenger list and the ferry list, downloaded and read on 6 October 2026, and from the fares, season-ticket, NaviTap, FAQ, accessibility and notices pages of the same site. The agreements with other bodies are read on the pages of Regione Lombardia, ATM, Trenord and ASF. We do not use excursion resale sites, travel blogs or aggregators.

The band diagram is a drawing in the PDF and cannot be copied as text. We read it at 300 dots per inch, cell by cell, and re-read it with an automatic digit classifier: the two methods give the same numbers on the rows used in this guide. There is one independent check, for the Como-Varenna pair: the Trenitalia pass at 23.60 and 14.80 euro corresponds to band 7. For the other pairs there is no second source, and the table in this guide remains our reading.

The search for sources was done with the help of artificial intelligence tools, and every figure was re-read on the original document. What the automatic search missed is what took the most work: it had not read the band diagram, the list of concessions (which is on the operator’s page in full), the notice of 2 October and the expiry of the Trenitalia pass. For the season tickets the check changed the outcome: the page says «prices in force from 1 April 2026», but the images are from 2021 and 2023, and we chose not to give the amounts.

Frequently asked questions

How much is the boat from Como to Bellagio?

A single costs 12.00 euro for an adult (band 6), a return 24.00, and 6.00 for a child aged 4 to 11. On the fast service 5.00 euro is added per trip as a surcharge. Prices from 1 April 2026.

Does the day ticket include the fast service?

Not automatically. The free circulation ticket is valid on fast runs only if you pay the surcharge, which depends on the band and is not reduced for anyone.

Can I use the IVOL ticket on the Lake Como boat?

No, according to Regione Lombardia, which excludes navigation on lakes Como, Garda and Maggiore. ATM writes instead that the tickets are valid «senza limitazioni»: between the two sources we go by the Region. The IVOL ticket is valid on the Como-Brunate funicular and on the Argegno-Pigra and Piani d’Erna cable cars, to be checked on the individual service.

Can a bicycle board any run?

No. It does not board the fast service, and on the ordinary boat boarding depends on the vessel and the traffic: the timetable marks, run by run, whether it is recommended, limited or excluded. On the ferry a bicycle costs 1.20 euro if you already hold an individual ticket, 6.70 otherwise.

Does NaviTap also provide child fares?

No. The system applies only the adult full fare and does not handle reductions or groups. For children and reduced fares you need the ticket office.

Which ticket is better value for Como, Bellagio, Varenna and Menaggio?

For the trip Como-Bellagio-Varenna-Menaggio-Como the band 7 day ticket costs 29.50 euro against 35.00 for single trips, by our sums: 5.50 euro less. If instead you go to Bellagio and back, single trips (24.00) cost less than the day ticket (27.00).

Before you go

Timetables, journey times and the choice between boat, fast service and ferry are in the guide to getting to Lake Como. For the cold months there is the picture of what is open from November to March, and for the stops of boat trips the guides to Como, Bellagio, Varenna, Menaggio and Tremezzina. The itinerary The Villas and Gardens of Central Lake Como is designed for a day on the lake, and for those sleeping on the lake there is the guide on where to stay.
