Rifugio Anna Maria stands at 1,000 metres in the locality of Piano Rancio, in the municipality of Bellagio (historically part of Civenna, an independent municipality until 2014), at the foot of Monte San Primo and a short walk from the Ghisallo pass.
History
The hut was built in 1929 by the SAM, the Squadra Alpinisti Milanesi (“Milan Alpinists’ Team”), as a base for hiking on Monte San Primo. It is now run by the Gilardoni family.

The hut offers 6 beds and 40 dining seats, wheelchair access, internet access, GSM coverage and hot water.

Rifugio Anna Maria stands at Piano Rancio, the starting and finishing point of the loop described in the Monte San Primo loop from Piano Rancio itinerary, reached by car to the Ghisallo pass and then along an asphalt road through the woods.
