Spiaggia del Pontile is located on Via al Pontile, right next to the pier of Gera Lario, the village at the northern tip of Lake Como. It is the second monitored bathing spot in the municipality, together with the nearby Spiaggia Acquaforte.
The pier and sailing
The pier makes it a practical landmark for those arriving by lake or simply wanting to enjoy the coming and going of boats in a quiet setting. The steady winds that characterise this stretch of the Alto Lario also make it well suited to sailing, alongside a relaxed swim.
Getting there
Nearby you’ll find accommodation and traditional restaurants, perfect for a stop after a swim. It can be reached along the SS340 Regina, the historic road running along the western shore of the lake, or by train to Colico station, continuing by road.
