Grassy and green, the Spiaggia di Gera Lario is reached from via Pontile, near the small harbour of Gera Lario, at the northernmost tip of Lake Como.
The harbour, also recognisable for its votive lighthouse erected in 1957 in memory of the great flood of 1951 that devastated the village, frames this grassy, convenient and well-exposed beach, with a bar close by for anyone looking for a moment’s refreshment. Its position, right next to the landing stage, makes it easy to find even for first-time visitors to Gera Lario. Along the village’s shoreline there are other beaches too, such as Spiaggia Acquaforte and Spiaggia del Pontile, a short distance from the harbour.
