The Spiaggia Mila is a pebble shore in the municipality of Tremezzina, in front of the mouth of the Bolvedro stream.
What it is like
The official profile of the bathing site, drawn up in May 2023, describes it as a pebble beach about thirty metres wide, with a car park nearby, and gives free access for animals. We have not found on an up-to-date official source any other information on services, hours or rules of use: ask on site.
A bathing ban in July 2026
The Comune di Tremezzina published the revocation of a temporary bathing ban in the stretch of water in front of the Bolvedro stream, that is for this bathing site. The mayor’s ordinance no. 65 of 24 July 2026 lifts the ban after the supplementary sampling of 16 July, whose positive results the ATS Insubria had communicated on 23 July. We have not found the text of the ban or the date on which it came into force.
It is an example of something true for every bathing site: a temporary ban can follow an unfavourable sample and be lifted after a favourable one, even if the end-of-season classification is “Excellent”.

Water quality
In the official European classifications (data reported by Italy to the European Environment Agency) the monitored bathing site “Torr. Bolvedro (Sp. Mila)” is rated “Excellent” from 2022 to 2025 and “Good” in 2021. The classifications summarise several seasons of sampling and do not rule out temporary bans after storms or other events: before swimming, check the Ministry of Health’s Portale Acque and the signs on site.
