Ospedaletto Beach lies in the hamlet of the same name in Ossuccio, in the municipality of Tremezzina: also known as Lido di Ossuccio, it occupies a stretch of shore with a wide lawn close to the water, listed by the municipality as a swimming spot. It is one of the most recognisable places in the area for the bell tower of the church of Santa Maria Maddalena and the ancient hospitalis, with the lawn, the lake and the profile of Isola Comacina shaping the landscape.

The lawn has also long served as a meeting and leisure space for the people of Tremezzina: it is advisable to move on foot through the historic areas, respecting the buildings, the archaeological zones and the spaces used by the lido.

From Ospedaletto you can reach the centre of Ossuccio, the Sacro Monte di Ossuccio and the paths along the Tremezzina coast. Isola Comacina is visible from the shore and can be reached with authorised lake connections. Heading towards Lenno you find the Golfo di Venere, the Lido di Lenno and the Lavedo promontory. The area is also linked to other points of the Greenway del Lago di Como, which crosses villages and landscapes along the western shore.
Getting there
The hamlet, listed as the Area Lago Ospedaletto zone, is reached via the Strada Statale 340 Regina, with parking near the lawn; Tremezzina is also served by public transport on the Como–Alto Lago route. The coordinates given in this page refer to the Ospedaletto area and its historic complex, not to the whole surface of the beach. During peak periods parking can be limited: it is best not to stop along the road and to use the permitted areas instead.
