Just three kilometres from Lecco along the lakeside state road, Pradello has always been “the beach” for people living on Lake Como’s Lecco branch, known for its large lawn divided by hedges and for jumping off the rocks. It lies in Abbadia Lariana, and has earned the nickname “Lecco’s beach” even though it belongs administratively to this municipality.
The lawn and getting into the water
Pradello’s distinctive feature is the grassy area behind the shoreline itself: a large lawn crossed by hedges that divide it into several sections, with a central area equipped for children and long grassy stretches with a direct view of the lake, ideal for laying out a towel in the shade of the trees.
Getting into the water mostly happens via a few steps cut into the rocks, since the lawn is not a beach in the strict sense: a detail that makes jumping in an experience best suited to swimmers already comfortable in the water, given also how quickly the depth increases. Nearby there is also a stretch of pebble beach, more convenient for those who prefer a gentler entry.

The Abbadia Lariana shoreline continues with other coves reachable on foot, such as the Ghislanzoni and Sasso beaches, the latter popular with windsurfers.

- Parking, a bar and restrooms with showers are all just steps away, making Pradello one of the most complete and popular beaches on summer weekends along the whole Lecco branch of the lake.
